When I was diagnosed with MS, I was determined NOT to let it change my life. But the illness had other plans for me. I woke up every morning worse than I was the day before. Ever so slowly I lost my physical abilities.

As I cut back on all but essential activities, my world outside the home began to shrink. If I had to give up my outside activities, I'd lose another piece of me. Losing my independence was bad enough, but I didn't want to lose my contact with people. My family would be my first priority, and running a close second would be my friends. I was determined to live a life filled with interesting people and fun activities.

Featuring Amigo Owner Richard Blake

An avid Harley enthusiast, former bike racer, and owner of a two-wheeler and a Trike, annual events on Amigo owner Richard Blake's calendar include the Sturgis rally, Americade in Lake George, Bike Week and Biketoberfest in Daytona, and an antique motorcycle show.

As a veteran, his Korean combat experience left him with frostbitten feet resulting in total numbness of his feet and legs. Richard says, "I am able to participate fully in these activities now. The Amigo Front Drive allows me to remain mobile up to six or seven hours a day at bike events across the country."

Do Positive People Live Longer? was a question posed recently in the Huffington Post. Reporter David Hamilton Ph.D. says "a host of exciting research has shown that attitude affects our health - so much so, in fact, that a positive attitude can add years to our lives."
