I received my first "little" yellow front wheel drive amigo when I was living in the UK in 1982. I have lived with MS since 1979, have had 6 Amigos since 1982. Thanks to Al Thieme I enjoy life!

My Amigo RD is the best scooter I have ever owned. Simply it is "Bullet Proof." I appreciate all the great service and knowledge from the staff at Amigo's home office.

What do I do if my key breaks off?
Occasionally a key breaks off in the key lock. Use needle
nose pliers or a flat knife to turn the key until a new key is sent. To remove
old key, turn off unit and put a 90 degree bend at the end of a paper clip or
pin. Push the pin in the key lock beside the key and twist and pull the key and
pin out.
To order a new key, contact your local service provider or complete the
Contact Us form.
Where do I find my serial number?
If you own an Amigo® FD (front drive), the serial number
is located on the front cowl and on the fork by the front wheel. On any other
Amigo RD (rear drive), you will find the serial number near the bottom of the
handle and on the right hand side of the battery box.

What should I do if my batteries are not holding a charge?
Step #1
- Plug in charger.
- Does the battery gauge flash for 30 to 45 seconds and then turn solid?
- If yes - the charger is working. Charge the Amigo for 8 or more hours.
- After 8 hours, the battery gauge will move from solid to flashing. If the Amigo does not hold a charge all day, replace batteries.
Step #2
- Plug in charger.
- If the battery gauge does not flash for 30 to 45 seconds and then turn solid:
- check electrical outlet for power
- check all electrical connections and wiring to the charger
- If outlet, wiring and all electrical connections seem to be OK, replace charger.
(A voltage meter is helpful to check wiring and connections).
- Note:
If the Amigo has been sitting for two to three weeks with run down batteries and the battery voltage is less than seven volts, the charger may not turn on.
The batteries will have to be charged on a separate charger to bring them up to seven volts each.
